Decided to bring Hangar 117 back from the dead , at the beginning of 2020 when I left my rehearsal room at Studios Sonum I had pretty much decided to kill this project , without having a place to play with loud amplifiers would be pointless for a Drone Metal project.
Now , here's the new beginnings of Hangar 117 , fresh new Bandcamp page and a new single , new music altogether , decided to revisit what I did in the Kondensator's Synth Metal EP and make a Synth Metal project out of it , it all happened on an impulse , made this new song for a friend because I had promised her to give her some songs to put her vocals on , so I might release another version with vocals someday.
Hangar 117 is now my Synth Metal project , improved on what I've released 2 years ago , by using Ableton Drum Rack instead of a Drum Machine , the Synth Guitar sound is the same except it's programmed midi notes instead of being sequenced by a Drum Machine , the clean guitar on this track are samples and for the Bass on this there's 2 tracks , one Minimoog style Synth and a sample for the bridge.
For this new Music I am making for this , I will be using influences from everything I listen to , pretty much inspired from one of my favorite bands , I'll use elements from any style of music I enjoy.
An Episode of Melancholia reflects my state of mind these days , being forced to a new reality , being uncertain of the future and not being able to see friends, it's a weird feeling. Although we may never know what is coming in the future weeks & months , it is still very predictable and the fact nobody lift a finger about it makes it even more depressing , people are letting this stuff happen and find the way to be so dumbfounded about it afterwards , but we've all saw it coming.
